The National Land Commission (NLC) is making significant strides in securing land reservations for parliamentary properties, as outlined during a productive meeting with the Parliamentary Service Commission’s Committee on Security and Development.
The session, held in Nairobi and chaired by Hon. Patrick Makau, EBS, saw NLC CEO Ms. Kabale Tache, alongside Director of Land Administration and Management Dr. Samuel Nthuni and Deputy Director Elijah Letangule, address pressing land-related concerns.
Ms. Tache updated the committee on the ongoing processing of ownership documentation for various parliamentary properties, assuring members that the NLC is diligently working to finalize land reservations.
She committed to issuing reservation orders to the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) within one month, requesting patience as the Commission navigates the necessary procedures.

“We are committed to ensuring transparent and efficient land administration,” Tache emphasized, highlighting the NLC’s efforts to safeguard public land.
The committee, comprising Hon. Patrick Makau (Chair), Hon. Mishi Mboko, CBS, Hon. Okongo Mogeni, CBS, Hon. Mohamed Ali, CBS, and Hon. Wahome Wamatinga, commended the NLC’s progress. They urged the Commission to expedite the reservation process to protect government properties from encroachment and legal disputes, emphasizing the critical role of secure land titles in national development.
Expressing gratitude for the committee’s support, the NLC reiterated its dedication to streamlining land administration processes. The engagement underscored a shared commitment to protecting public land and resolving ownership challenges, with both parties optimistic about achieving tangible results in the coming weeks.
