Ms. Latifa Mohamed Hamis, the beautifully bold and hardworking woman, Director General of the Tanzania Trade Development Authority, has become Public Sector Global CEO of the Week” for the month of February. Having gone through the criteria for selection for the week; considering her impact, partnerships with other local and international agencies, and the successes recorded in public service and the agency’s contribution to economic growth.
She was appointed in the third quarter of 2021 by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, in her new role as the Director General for the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE).
Ms Latifa has been a great leader in promoting and enhancing Tanzania’s economic performance through the development and promotion of goods and services for both local and foreign markets. Her selection was based on merit and her dedication to excellence and with great humility and zeal to work and deliverables in her agency. She has shown and delivered in her agency and contributed to the development of bilateral trade amongst other countries and sectors.
