The South African National Park Boss, Ms Hapiloe Sello, a goal-getter and result-oriented woman, passionate about the development of the agency, has become Public Sector Global CEO of the Week” for this week.
Ms Hapiloe has made significant contributions and development to the South African National Parks, with creativity and innovations in the parks, and campings, engaged in strategic partnerships for growth and infrastructure development of the agency. Having gone through the criteria for selection for the week; considering her impact, partnerships with other local and international agencies, and the successes recorded under her leadership, she has been selected for this week.
She was the First female CEO appointed in the Agency. In her over 19 years of cumulative working experience, her roles cut across Marketing and communications in Tourism before she became the CEO. Ms Hapiloe has a deep-rooted knowledge of the interconnectedness of conservation, tourism, and people.
In 2015 she joined SANParks as its Managing Executive for Tourism Development and Marketing amongst other managerial roles she has headed. She was formerly the Managing Executive of Tourism Development and marketing. In that position, she spearheaded the implementation of the organisation’s commercialisation strategy and implemented several tourism products, events, and strategic partnerships.
With her vast experience in the industry, she has developed and created a new face for the agency, making the agency a place for tourists and a choice for citizens and foreigners.
She has her Masters in International Business & Marketing.
