The Nigeria Customs Service has officially has promoted 357 officers, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence.
The decision, formally ratified during the 7th Management meeting of 2023 on December 1, 2023, was presided over by the esteemed Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi MFR.
The promotion list spans across both General Duty (GD) and Support Staff (SS) categories, showcasing the diversity of talent within the service.
According to a statement released by the National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, the breakdown of promotions includes advancements from Customs Assistant I (CAI) to Inspector of Customs (IC) in various categories.
This developement follows the commitment to meritocracy within the Nigeria Customs Service as well as reflecting the visionary leadership of the Comptroller-General.
The newly promoted officers will now be entrusted with the ultimate task of upholding the service’s core mandates, including revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and facilitation of trade.
