The tourists hail from diverse countries around the world, including Kenya, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Spain, Seychelles, Norway, Chile, and Belgium. This international mix further underscores Tanzania’s growing status as a premier global tourism destination.
These achievements stem from the concerted efforts of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania to strengthen and improve policies, laws, infrastructure, heritage site development, and international promotion of tourism attractions.
Additionally, the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) has made substantial strides in enhancing services and reception facilities for various vessels, including cruise ships. These improvements have boosted confidence among sector stakeholders and positioned Tanzanian ports as reliable and preferred options.
The increasing arrival of cruise ships signals the success of national strategies to develop tourism, boost national revenue, and create employment and business opportunities for local communities in the affected areas.
