The Ghana Free Zones Authority following its international collaborative efforts has received a delegation from the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest).
This courtesy visit forms part of the 3-day diplomatic visit of the President of Kenya, H.E. William Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto to Ghana.
Mrs. Kate D. Abbeo, Deputy C.E.O (Finance & Administration), received the delegation on behalf of the Authority’s C.E.O, Amb. Michael Oquaye Jnr. who had had interactions with members of the delegation during a B2B session during the Ghana-Kenya Business Forum held in Accra the previous day.
Mrs. Abbeo gave an overview of the Ghana Free Zones Scheme, its mandate, functions of the Board, and the policy rationale behind Scheme’s unique policy of making the whole of Ghana accessible for Free zone investments.
Ms. Florence Benta Were, C.E.O of KenInvest, who was accompanied by Ms. Floice Mukabana, C.E.O of the Kenya Export & Branding Authority, on behalf of the delegation expressed gratitude at warm reception and hospitality accorded the team.
‘She underscored the significance of the similarities in the operations of the GFZA and GIPC and their counterparts in Kenya.
She further expressed positivity about the potential collaborations and partnerships that would be birthed out of the interactions had,’ Ghana Free Zones Authority wrote.
