Governor of Nyandarua County, His Excellency Dr. Moses Kiarie Badilisha has presented financial assistance in support of families grappling with the aftermath of fires and mounting medical bills.
The funds are designated to address immediate needs such as reconstruction efforts and essential medical care.
Governor Badilisha expressed empathy, acknowledging the impossibility of fully compensating for the losses incurred or the pain suffered by those grappling with illnesses.
He emphasized his hope that the financial support would help ease the burdens faced by the affected families.
“While acknowledging that it is not possible to “fully compensate for the loss you’ve incurred, or the pain of those suffering from illnesses, it is my hope that this little support will help ease the burden on each of your families.”
Those who benefit from the Emergency Fund must first undergo a thorough review and due diligence to establish need, and in instances of fire incidents, a comprehensive report involving several agencies is a requirement to weed out unscrupulous actors.” Nyandarua County indicated on 29th December, 2023.
