The National Land Commission (NLC) Chairperson, Dr. Abdillahi Saggaf Alawy, accompanied by the Commissioners and CEO Kabale Tache Arero, attended a high-level breakfast meeting hosted by the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Alice Wahome, EGH, and the Principal Secretary for the State Department of Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. Generali Nixon Korir, CBS.
The meeting was convened to officially welcome the newly appointed NLC commissioners into the land sector. It served as a strong symbol of collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment between the two key institutions responsible for land governance in Kenya.

Speaking on the occasion, stakeholders highlighted the cordial and productive working relationship that the National Land Commission has long enjoyed with the Ministry of Lands. This partnership is anchored on open communication, mutual respect, and a common goal of delivering efficient and transparent services to all Kenyans.

Dr. Alawy and his team reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to strengthening this conducive working environment. Both institutions pledged to continue working closely to effectively deliver on their respective constitutional mandates and to enhance service delivery in land administration and management across the country.

The Vice Chairperson, Hon. Dr. Julie Oseko, and Commissioners FCPA Susan Oyatsi, Hon. Tiyah Galgalo, Hon. Esther Murugi, CHRP Vincent Kigen, Hon. Mohamed Abdi Haji, Daniel Muriungi, and Hon. Mary Yiane Seneta were also present at the meeting.

The engagement underscores a renewed push for seamless inter-agency coordination as the newly constituted National Land Commission settles into its role, with expectations of improved efficiency in addressing land-related matters nationwide.
