At the heart of the one-day summit was a compelling presentation on Ghana’s Energy Efficiency Regulation and Enforcement, alongside spotlights on flagship programs driving the adoption of high-efficiency appliances and ironclad compliance standards. The session captivated attendees, revealing Ghana’s blueprint for transforming energy consumption from a challenge into an opportunity.

Sparking lively discussion, the interactive Q&A zeroed in on Ghana’s trailblazing Eco Fridge initiative—a game-changer in eco-friendly refrigeration that has directly inspired Senegal to launch its own version. “Your Eco Fridge model is lighting the way for us,” a delegate enthused, signaling ripple effects across borders.
Capping off the visit, the group toured Hisense retail outlets in Accra, where they witnessed firsthand the rigorous enforcement of energy labeling in action. From showroom displays to compliance checks, the tour underscored Ghana’s on-the-ground commitment to empowering consumers with informed choices.
As the delegation departed, both sides hailed the exchange as a pivotal step in amplifying Ghana-Senegal collaboration. “Together, we’re building a cleaner, more energy-smart West Africa—one efficient bulb, one compliant appliance at a time,” Biritwum affirmed.
