The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned emergency maintenance of its MBH Prepayment Server, urging customers to prepare by purchasing sufficient credit.
According to a statement issued by the ECG, the maintenance is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 20 at 11:00 p.m. and will last until Sunday, September 22 at 11:00 p.m.
During this period, MBH customers will not be able to top up their electricity credits.
The ECG advised its customers to stock up on credit ahead of the downtime to avoid any disruptions in their power supply.
“We encourage all MBH customers to purchase enough credit to last through the maintenance period,” the company stated, emphasizing that this precaution is critical to ensuring uninterrupted electricity service while the system is offline.
The ECG apologized for any inconvenience the maintenance may cause, expressing appreciation for the patience and cooperation of its customers.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank our valued customers for their understanding,” the statement concluded.
