The Minister for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has urge the youth to equip themselves with innovative skills.
The minister highlighted the importance of fostering skills and knowledge to drive innovation, emphasizing the need for young people to navigate the complexities of our fast-paced world.
In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, young people must be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle complex challenges, and drive innovation.” These words essentially conveyed the thrust of my message to the youthful audience I addressed at the Ambassador Debrah Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Accra.” Dr. Opoku Prempeh wrote.
The call to action came during a conference organized by the Centre for Leadership and Organisational Effectiveness of the University at Buffalo, in collaboration with the All-Africa Students Union and Emerge Africa.
The event aimed to spotlight innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the context of Ghana’s vibrant youth.
During the conference, the minister stressed that encouraging entrepreneurship among the youth could lead to significant advancements in various sectors, including leadership, research, and technology.
The minister expressed optimism that by creating a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs, not only would innovative ideas flourish, but also meaningful contributions could be made towards solving some of the world’s most pressing issues.
The minister concluded the address with a message of hope, urging the youth to embody prayer, hard work, and self-discipline as they embark on their journey to shape the future of Ghana and contribute to building an Africa of opportunities and hope.
