The National Land Commission Chairperson, Gershom Otachi, has spearheaded a comprehensive review of the Draft Recommendations to the National Land Policy.
Commissioners and top Secretariat Staff, led by Chief Executive Officer Kabale Tache also joined the initiative to incorporate valuable stakeholder input.
“In fulfilling its mandate to recommend a National Land Policy to the national government the commission seeking to improve land governance by a raft of recommendations contained in the document that include reforming and streamlining land use planning, identifying the emerging constitutional and legal provision gaps for sustainable land ownership and management in Kenya, promoting institutional linkages for improved land governance, improve efficiency and transparency in land administration and management,” National Land Commission wrote.
Stakeholders presented their views virtually on Tuesday October 9, 2023, and again physically on Thursday October 12, 2023, in Nairobi.
