Former Judge of the High Court of Kenya and Presiding Judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, Her Ladyship Justice Joyce Aluoch will be the recipient of the Transformational Leader in the Judicial Service Award at the 4th edition of the African Public Sector Conference (APSCA)
The esteemed Lady will be among the crème de la crème of public sector leaders to be honoured for her immense contribution to Africa’s legal system for over four decades in the public sector and for breaking barriers that inspire the younger generation.
The awards ceremony will be held on the 8th of September at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi where honours will be presented to individuals and organisations contributing to public sector delivery across Africa.
According to Mr. Akin Naphtal, CEO of InstinctWave organizers of the awards “Lady Justice Joyce has been a trailblazer in the legal space for decades with her footprint being made indelible in the history of judicial service in Africa and beyond.”
He added that “APSCA sheds light on the untold success stories, recognizing the anonymous public servants who drive government’s most significant accomplishments and work tirelessly to protect our health, land, safety and well-being which help build public trust in government and underscore the critical role it plays in our democracy.”
The Africa Public Sector Conference & Awards (APSCA) was first hosted in Kigali, Rwanda in 2018 and succeeded by two consecutive editions hosted in Accra, Ghana.
The fourth edition of APSCA will be held during the Africa Climate Week in Nairobi Kenya from 6th to 8th September at the Weston Hotel and Radisson Blu Hotel respectively. While the main APSCA conference which will discuss green economy, energy sustainability and innovation in the public sector, will be held at the Weston Hotel on the 6th of September, the gala night will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel on 8th September, 2023.
