The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has unveiled key leadership appointments to strengthen its institutional capacity and enhance service delivery, aligning with its mission to drive organizational excellence and revenue mobilization for national development.
In a significant move, Ms. Nancy Ng’etich, EBS, has been confirmed as the Commissioner for the Shared Services Department, effective today. Ms. Ng’etich, who has served as acting Commissioner since February 2023, has been pivotal in spearheading organizational reforms, aligning human resources with KRA’s 9th Corporate Plan, and promoting technology adoption to bolster revenue collection efforts.
With a robust background as Deputy Commissioner for Policy & International Affairs in the Customs & Border Control Department and Senior Manager for Customs & Tax Advisory at Ernst & Young LLP, Ms. Ng’etich brings extensive expertise to her role. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, she is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya, and the Kenya Institute of Management.
Additionally, KRA announced leadership changes within the Large & Medium Taxpayers Department. CS. Rispah Simiyu (Mrs.), FCCA, EBS, has been seconded to the National Treasury & Economic Planning. In the interim, Ms. Doreen Mbingi, Deputy Commissioner for Compliance East & South of Nairobi, has been appointed to provide acting leadership for the department until a permanent appointment is made.
The KRA Board and Management emphasized their commitment to ensuring continuity and accountability across the organization through these strategic appointments.
“We congratulate Ms. Ng’etich and Ms. Mbingi on their new roles and call on all taxpayers and stakeholders to continue supporting KRA’s efforts,” the Authority stated. KRA reaffirmed its dedication to delivering efficient, fair, and transparent services while mobilizing revenue to support Kenya’s national development goals.
