Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the national chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party, has been appointed as the board chairman of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
He succeeds Joe Addo-Yobo, who served as board chairman since 2017.
Ntim was officially sworn into office on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, in a ceremony that highlighted the new chairman’s qualifications and vision for the NPA.
In his address, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the importance of Ntim’s role in strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing operational efficiencies, and maintaining high standards of integrity and accountability within the NPA.
“National Chairman of my beloved New Patriotic Party, Mr. Ntim is not new to leadership and therefore, I have no doubt that he has what it takes to steer the NPA to achieve its objectives for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” Prempeh remarked in a Facebook post.
