Mr. Olorunola Olufemi has officially assumed the position of Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Marine, and Blue Economy.
This change follows the retirement of the ministry’s long-serving Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, who graciously handed over the reins to Olufemi.
During a meeting with Minister of Transportation, Sen. Said Alkali, Olufemi pledged commitment to the ongoing approval processes at the Service Policy and Strategy Office, emphasizing the role of the ministries in the federal administration’s renewed hope agenda and economic growth.
He received a charge from Alkali to adhere strictly to financial regulations and play a key role in evolving the new transport policy.
In a heartfelt appreciation message, Dr. Magdalene Ajani expressed gratitude to stakeholders, ministers, industry leaders, and the dedicated civil servants of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Marine & Blue Economy.
She reflected on her tenure from August 2020 to January 2024, acknowledging the successful strive as she highlighted the collective effort to impact the nation positively.
Ajani praised the leadership, support from National Assembly Committees, CEOs of agencies, and directors, expressing pride in working alongside them.
