The Upper West Regional Manager of NPA, Mr. Bashiru Natogma emphasized that these illegal outlets lacked the necessary safety measures and infrastructure to handle and store petroleum products safely, posing significant risks to public spaces and increasing the likelihood of accidents and fire outbreaks.
He further urged the public to only purchase petroleum products from authorized reseller outlets and fuel stations while cautioning oil marketing companies against supplying products to these unlicensed stations, as they would face severe sanctions from the regulator.
