President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held his first official meeting with with senior security officials under the direction of the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
President Tinubu met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General (ret. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, Vice Admiral Auwal Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, and Usman Alkali Baba, Inspector-General of Police.
Yusuf Bichi, the Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS), and Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the director general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), are two additional directors general.
Since he took office on Monday, President Tinubu has not yet met in an official capacity with the leaders of the country’s security and intelligence agencies.
