Mr. Umar Abdullahi, Chairman and CEO of Cosgrove Investment Limited, has received the honorary title of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) from the Federal Government.
Abdullahi was honored for the profound contribution he made to the housing industry in the nation, particularly by setting the bar for how modern technology would be incorporated into real estate.
Cosgrove, a company that develops real estate, was founded by Abdullahi. Cosgrove Smart Estate in Abuja is the nation’s first entirely automated community.
In addition to 339 other illustrious Nigerians and friends of the country, he received recognition.
Also honored were ten Justices of the Supreme Court, along with the Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Sanusi, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, among others. Former Secretary General of the Commonwealth Emeka Anyaoku received the nation’s second-highest National Honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
