The School of Social Work – Ghana (SSW) under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has graduated 51 students after taking them through an intensive eighth (8) weeks of tutorial on courses such as: Child and Family Welfare, Social Welfare, Justice Administration, Social Case Work among others.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Director of MoGCSP, Dr. Afisah Zakariah, the Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Dr. Comfort Asare urged the graduates to imbibe and incorporate the six core values of the social work which includes: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence into their profession.
On her part, Madam Ruby Annan who represented the Chief Child Protection Officer at UNICEF urged the graduates to impact lives positively just as they have also being impacted with their course work.
The Principal of the School of Social Work, Mr. Felix Logah urged the public to take advantage of its courses to acquire a certificate as the school is one of the accredited institution mandated to train frontline social workers.
The School of Social Work (SSW) is mandated to train generic frontline social workers to deliver integrated social welfare services within facilities and programs that promote social development, social justice and social functioning of people.
