The Chairperson of the African Union Commission His Excellency, Moussa Faki Mahamat has called for calm in Kenya amidst public protest.
The Chairperson expressed deep concern at violence following public protest in Kenya since March 21, 2023.
These protest has therefore resulted in the loss of lives, damage to properties and the interruption of certain economic activities in the capital, Nairobi.
In a statement released on March 27, 2023 he urged all stakeholders to exercise calm.
He also recalled the successful conduct of the general election in August 2022.
