The Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) has announced its highly anticipated 20th Anniversary Corporate Governance Conference, set to take place on October 9, 2025, in Lagos.
This milestone event occurs at a critical juncture, when institutions worldwide are grappling with disruption and escalating demands for accountability, highlighting the urgent need for ethical governance and sustainability.
Marking two decades of elevating governance standards, the conference, themed “Strengthening Ethical Governance in a Disrupted World: Reflections on the Governance Journey for a Sustainable Future,” will celebrate SCGN’s legacy while uniting regulators, board leaders, and industry experts.
The gathering aims to address pressing questions: How can institutions remain resilient amid global upheaval? What balance can leaders strike between innovation and accountability? And how can ethics anchor sustainable progress in a rapidly evolving landscape?

This conference is a celebration and a call to action, highlighted by our Corporate Governance Awards, which honor leaders and institutions for integrity and sustainability.” SCGN President Mr. Muhammad Ahmad added, “This platform will shape Nigeria’s governance future, tackling global trends like AI and ESG to ensure competitive, ethical businesses.”
