Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Managing Director and CEO, NNPC Limited
A seasoned energy executive and visionary leader, Bashir Bayo Ojulari steps into his new role as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited with a robust legacy of technical excellence and strategic leadership.
A native of Kwara State and Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ojulari is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His distinguished career spans over three decades, beginning as Nigeria’s first process engineer at Elf Aquitaine. He joined Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in 1991 as an associate production technologist, steadily rising through the ranks to become Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) in 2015.
Prior to his NNPC appointment, Ojulari served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Renaissance Africa Energy Company. There, he played a key role in one of Nigeria’s most significant oil and gas transactions—the $2.4 billion acquisition of SPDC by a consortium of indigenous companies. He was also pivotal in leading the Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) team for the Bonga FPSO, showcasing his deep operational expertise.
Ojulari’s influence extends beyond Nigeria, with professional stints in Europe and the Middle East in roles spanning petroleum engineering, asset management, and strategic planning. As a former Chairman and Board Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Nigerian Council, his industry impact is both global and enduring.
Ahmadu Musa Kida, Non-Executive Chairman, NNPC Limited
Ahmadu Musa Kida brings a blend of deep oil and gas sector knowledge, governance acumen, and sports leadership to his new role as the Non-Executive Chairman of NNPC Limited.
Born in Borno State, Kida earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1984, later advancing his technical knowledge with a Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), Paris.
His distinguished career in the energy sector began at Elf Petroleum Nigeria and transitioned to Total Exploration and Production in 1985. Over the years, he held numerous leadership positions, including Deputy Managing Director of Deepwater Services at Total Nigeria. He also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Pan Ocean–Newcross Group, contributing strategic insight into Nigeria’s evolving oil and gas landscape.

Beyond the corporate boardroom, Kida has made his mark in sports as a former basketball player and current President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF). Under his leadership, the federation has seen significant progress in athlete development and international representation.
As Chairman of NNPC Limited, Kida’s multifaceted expertise positions him to provide strategic oversight and elevate the company’s standing in a competitive global energy market.
Adedapo Segun, Chief Financial Officer, NNPC Limited
Adedapo Segun, a finance executive with over 30 years of experience, brings a rich blend of financial strategy, investor relations, and cross-functional industry exposure to his role as Chief Financial Officer of NNPC Limited.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Dapo joined NNPC in April 2016 as Treasurer. He championed a wave of transformative financial initiatives, including securing ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Group Treasury’s Quality Management Systems—the first of its kind within the finance and accounts arm of the organization.
With the transition to NNPC Limited in 2022, Dapo assumed the role of pioneer Chief Finance and Investor Relations Officer, where he led efforts to secure medium and long-term financing for NNPC and its subsidiaries. He played a central role in positioning the company for its Initial Public Offering (IPO), successfully negotiating multi-billion-dollar financing initiatives.
His influence extends to boardrooms across diverse sectors, serving as Chairman and Non-Executive Director for companies in real estate, healthcare, IT, and oil and gas. His extensive oil and gas experience cuts across upstream and downstream operations in both Nigeria and the United States.
Beyond finance, Dapo’s career includes responsibilities in Facilities Engineering and Security Services, reflecting his broad strategic capability and value as a transformational leader.
