Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Alh. Aminu Hammayo as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). This announcement was made by Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, in a statement on Friday.
Hammayo replaces Ibrahim Kashim, who resigned from his position on December 13. Described as a seasoned administrator and public servant, Hammayo has served the state with distinction in various capacities. He was previously the SSG and, until his new appointment, served as the Commissioner for Budget and Multilateral Coordination.
In addition to Hammayo’s appointment, Governor Mohammed has also approved the appointment of Hashimu Kumbala as his Principal Private Secretary. Kumbala, a retired permanent secretary, was previously the Special Adviser to the governor on General Services.
In his new role, he will provide critical administrative and advisory support to the governor, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the government.
