The Principal Secretary (PS) of Diaspora Affairs in Kenya, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu has called for a robust and wholesome shift on how to engage East Africans in the Diaspora.
“I urge all the Partner States that we take a collective paradigm shift in the approach of harnessing the full potential of our Diaspora.” PS Njogu said.
The PS who led the Kenyan Delegation at the Permanent Secretaries’ Session of the 14th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Foreign Policy Co-ordination in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, also termed the diaspora as the most critical part of the region.
“Our people, the people of the EAC region, whether they are within our borders or outside of our borders, are the most critical part of who we are and the most critical resource,” the PS added during her submissions in the meeting.
The PS was accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs at the meeting that had delegates and officials from the East African member states.
