The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Interior and National Administration of Kenya, Kithure Kindiki has announced plans underway to relocate the Kisii Main GK Prison from the town to create more space for expansion projects envisioned by the county and national governments.
This revelation follows CS Kithure Kindiki visit to the facility to assess the progress of the undertaking following a directive by H.E. President Williams Ruto during his tour of the county in March last year.
“Plans are underway to relocate the Kisii Main GK Prison from the town in a strategic move meant to create more space for expansion projects envisioned by the county and national governments,” CS Kithure Kindiki wrote on X.
The CS also held a meeting with Kisii County security heads to review and strategize on the delivery of various security priorities.
