The Federal Government has initiated a 20-member committee to spearhead the Nigeria Digital in Health Initiative (NDHI).
This activity follows FG’s promise to healthcare data management.
Led by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, the initiative is to modernize the nation’s healthcare architecture for more efficient data handling across facilities.
Emphasizing the importance of the NDHI, Prof. Pate highlighted its potential to enhance patient experiences, data protection, and overall health outcomes.
The committee chaired by the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, comprises professionals from various fields.
Dr. Alausa stressed the urgency of transitioning to digital health infrastructure, citing challenges posed by the current lack of standardized data collection systems.
