The Public Sector Global’s Women Crush Wednesday is a weekly commendation of Public Servants, who are women, leading and excelling in their various cadre of government roles; impacting and growing their agencies, amongst other MDA’s across Africa.
This week, Mrs Abimbola Akinajo is celebrated for her outstanding strides and passion, in delivery excellence, proffering solutions in the transport service to the citizens of Nigeria, and Lagosian. Notably, women now represent a larger part of most performing civil servants, who contribute to the growth and development of the economy, excel, and have become mentors to a great number of younger generations.
Engr. Abimbola Akinajo has garnered over thirty years post qualification experience. She is a chartered civil engineer, both in the UK and Nigeria where she has held high level positions, and in the last 25 years, she has been in the design and delivery of major transport, both Rail and Road infrastructure projects. She and her team showcase the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue rail, and commuters have started experiencing the look and feel of the service.
LAMATA has disclosed to give priority to the non-motorized transport option in its future infrastructure projects, to ease transport service for the people and its sundry.
The Public Sector Global Women Crush Wednesday is also aimed at inspiring public service officials to be competitive and promote efficient service delivery for African citizens.
