The Directorate of Public Health and Sanitation, in collaboration with the National Public Health Institute has convened a Joint Work Plan Meeting aimed at enhancing Kenya’s public health strategies.
Attended by representatives from Development Partners and Counties, the meeting focused on aligning efforts in Disease Surveillance, Environmental Health, Emergency Operations, and Disaster Response Management.
During the workshop’s opening, Acting Director for the Directorate of Public Health, Dr. Kamene Kimenye, emphasized the importance of aligning partner activities with government health priorities.
Dr. Kimenye highlighted the pivotal role of the National Public Health Institute in Kenya and stressed the need for collaboration and resource utilization to fortify public health functions.
