Botswana Oil Limited launched a culture change project themed “Own it, Live it and Be it”.
The project according to the company is to build a versatile and agile National Oil Company that focuses on customer centricity, process efficiency, and commercial excellence.
The project will therefore be a transformative journey for the organization, impacting its performance, reputation, and overall success.
In his welcome remarks, the CEO of Botswana Oil Mr Meshack Tshekedi, he encouraged BOL employees to have new ways of thinking, acting, and collaborating, enabling the organization to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
The Culture Change project comes at the right and opportune time as the company prepares to expand its business mandate.
That requires a shift in the ways of thinking, processes and procedures across the business, the way the industry is approached, and many other aspects of operations.
All of these changes will enable the company to be much more prepared for the new strategic and business direction it plans to embark on in the next few months, when the 90% import mandate license comes into effect.
The launch was combined with the staff recognition awards including those who lived the values in 2023 and long service awards.
