The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has initiated a comprehensive update of the MBH metering system.
Staff are actively engaging with MBH customers, visiting homes to input token ID numbers essential for the meter update.
This comprehensive initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the metering system, ensuring a seamless experience for electricity consumers.
To facilitate the update and streamline the process, ECG has provided alternative avenues for customers.
Those seeking assistance can contact the ECG contact centre at 0302611611, visit their local ECG district offices, or approach the nearest 3rd party vendors for both meter updates and electricity purchases.
“As required by international standards, the MBH metering system is being updated. ECG staff are visiting MBH customers to enter token ID numbers to update the meters.
However, customers can call the ECG contact centre on 0302611611, visit their ECG district offices or thier nearest 3rd party vendors for the update and purchase of electricity,” the company wrote.
They further affirmed that the ECG mobile app will only support electricity purchases after the successful completion of the MBH meter update.
ECG districts currently involved in the update include Afienya, Korle-bu, Bortiano, Ablekuma, Nsawam, Koforidua, and Kibi.
