The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua has expressed his satisfaction at witnessing the inauguration of this noble initiative in Nairobi.
The caucus unveiled its Strategic Plan for Climate Action, aimed at addressing the growing threat climate change poses to the nation’s growth and stability.
Notably, the lawmakers within the caucus pledged to advocate for a substantial increase in the allocation for environmental conservation in the National Government Constituency Development Fund, aiming to raise it to 5%.
Gachagua pledged the government’s support in realizing the caucus’s strategic plan and urged lawmakers to collaborate with schools and learning institutions in their constituencies to foster sustained environmental conservation activities.
