The Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Titilayo Shitta-Bey-Jeje, announced that 25 bills have been signed and passed into law to facilitate easy access to the judiciary.
Speaking at the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law annual conference in Lagos, Mrs. Shitta-Bey-Jeje emphasized that Lagos State continues to demonstrate its status as the Center of Excellence by enacting innovative and people-oriented laws and policies.
She highlighted that the ongoing reforms are aimed at improving the administration of justice and ensuring that residents of the state can easily access the judiciary.
Furthermore, Mrs. Shitta-Bey-Jeje commended the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration in enhancing the quality of service delivery in the state judiciary.

The government has undertaken the renovation of various magistrates and high court buildings throughout Lagos, with 10 courts fully digitalized.
Additionally, an online platform has been established to provide diverse legal advice to Lagosians.
The efforts of the state government align with its dedication to improving access to justice for all residents, making their lives better and ensuring a more efficient judiciary system in Lagos.
