Kenya Ports Authourity has began a campaign to shift 50 percent of Kenya’s horticulture exports from air to sea freight in the next ten years.
The campaignkicked off with stakeholders drawn from government and private sector meeting at the Port of Mombasa to chart the strategy.
Dubbed ‘TradeMark Africa’, the initiative is supported by Netherlands Embassy in Kenya, Denmark, Sweden, EU, France and Ireland together with the Kenyan government.
The initiative is aimed at increasing the volumes of horticultural products exported to Europe through the Port of Mombasa within a ten years period.
