Kenya President William Ruto joined Member of Parliament Mithika Linturi and other government officials to tour Meru County during a working visit to inspect and launch crucial infrastructural projects in the region.
During the visit the President officially launched the tarmacking of Kaelo-Kamukunji-Mutuati road in Igembe North Constituency.
The road’s tarmacking is significant as it will expedite trade growth in Meru and the neighbouring counties.
Later, the President addressed the residents of Laare at Nkiriana Primary School in the company of local leaders and government representatives.
Honourable Mithika Linturi’s presence during the tour was essential as he represents the people of Meru County in parliament.
The tarmacking of Kaelo-Kamukunji-Mutuati road is expected to improve transportation in the region, thus boosting economic growth.

Additionally, the President’s address to the residents of Laare was an opportunity to engage with them and share the government’s development agenda.
