Throughout 2025, production trends showed fluctuations, with crude oil and condensate peaking at 1.581 million bpd in February before settling at 1.424 million bpd in December. Gas production climbed progressively, ending the year at 7,722 mmscfd. Upstream pipeline availability averaged 88-100% monthly, while NRL availability hovered between 40-77%, closing at 51% in December.
The report highlighted NNPC’s retail station “wetness” across Nigeria, with a color-coded map indicating varying fuel availability levels from low to high in states nationwide.
On the strategic front, December’s output was slightly impacted by planned maintenance at the Satellite Field Development Project and unplanned downtime at the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal. However, key milestones included completing 3D online welding works at Adi Marine and advancing the Ohaifi-Obrikom (OB3) Gas Pipeline with successful O River Niger crossing and pilot hole drilling. Early works on commercial projects were also completed as scheduled.
In community initiatives, the NNPC Foundation disbursed N51,100 to each of 531 beneficiaries under its Youth Empowerment Programme, partnering with Star Pack Empowerment to foster entrepreneurship, curb unemployment, and drive national development.
