The National Treasury and Economic Planning is taking significant steps to enhance public service delivery through targeted human resource (HR) initiatives and performance alignment, as demonstrated by high-level engagements held today at the National Treasury Building in Nairobi City County.
In a key meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Governance, Social Sector, and Public Administration, chaired by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at his Karen Residence, Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning, Hon. John Mbadi, joined discussions focused on strengthening public governance.
The committee deliberated on policies to uphold the rule of law, maintain order, and improve service delivery across Kenya’s public sector.
Concurrently, Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS, hosted a consultative session with Public Service Commission (PSC) Commissioners Dr. Irene Asienga and Mr. Francis Meja, alongside senior PSC Secretariat staff.

This meeting, part of PSC’s three-day consultative visits to ministries and state departments from July 21–23, 2025, addressed critical HR management and development issues. Aligned with PSC’s constitutional mandate under Article 234(2), the discussions aimed to enhance institutional performance, talent development, and service delivery at the National Treasury.
