The Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) has announced the extension of operational hours for its Masaka customs office at the Dubai Ports World Rwanda.
Effective immediately, the customs office will now operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This move is to streamline cargo handling and taxation processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and collection of duties.
Philbert Inkindi, Chief Commercial Officer at Dubai Ports World Rwanda, emphasized the significant impact this expansion will have on importers, exporters, and logistics, predicting a potential increase of up to 25% in daily cargo discharge.
The Masaka customs office is situated within the DP World’s Kigali Logistics Platform, a strategic inland cargo handling facility inaugurated in 2019 by President Paul Kagame.
