Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) has organized a coaching and preparatory sessions for SMEs in the agro-food sector.
The two day program scheduled January 22nd and 23rd, 2024, was to prepare participants for the buyer’s mission scheduled for April 2024.
The mission according to the Agency represents an opportunity for SMEs to engage with potential buyers, foster partnerships, and showcase the unique offerings of their companies.
These preparations follow a successful participation in the International Food and Drink Event (IFE) and a market familiarization visit held in London, UK, in March 2023.
The buyers’ mission is an integral part of the ongoing Women in Trade project (2019-2024), implemented in partnership with TFO Canada (funded by Global Affairs Canada).
It aims to contribute to inclusive growth by increasing the number of women (and men) from developing countries involved in international trade as exporters and boosting the share of exports generated by women-led SMEs.
During the one-on-one sessions, SMEs engaged with experts from the EU/Canada to gain a deep understanding of the products to be presented to buyers, buyer requirements, exporter readiness, and market trends.
