The Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (FSAN) Directorate of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has conducted an open dialogue session with stakeholders from the Association of Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Employers (AFBTE).
This decision according to a statement released by the agencies follows plans to strengthening regulatory measures and enhance collaboration with the food, beverage, and tobacco industries.
The session solicited feedback from industry representatives regarding their challenges while fostering a more constructive working relationship.
NAFDAC also highlighted its commitment to providing a safe space for meaningful interactions, underscoring the importance of bridging the gap between the regulator and the regulated.
The initiative aimed at addressing industry concerns as well as ensuring the safety and quality of food, beverage, and tobacco products contributing to the overall health of the nation’s economy.
