The Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy, under the guidance of Chairperson Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, conducted a productive working visit to the National Petroleum Authority’s Head Office.
The committee’s primary objective was to familiarize themselves with the regulatory body’s operations.
During the visit, members were provided with detailed presentations elucidating the roles of the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund Directorate and an overview of the Cylinder Recirculation Module (CRM).
In pursuit of a comprehensive understanding of the CRM policy, the committee, accompanied by NPA management, further toured an LPG bottling plant facility in Tema.
This hands-on exploration aimed to enhance their insight into the practical implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Module, a critical aspect of Ghana’s energy landscape.
The visit underscores the committee’s commitment to engaging with key stakeholders and ensuring a thorough grasp of the intricacies of energy regulation in the nation.

The purpose of the visit was for the members of the committee to acquaint themselves with the operations of the regulating body. They were taken through a series of presentations outlining the functions of the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund Directorate and an overview of CRM.
