The NCS emphasized that such activities are not endorsed by the service and are purely fraudulent in nature.
Recent incidents have exposed a surge in scams orchestrated by impostors impersonating high-ranking NCS officials.
These fraudsters exploit the trust of the public by promoting fictitious auctions and sham recruitment processes that purportedly bear the NCS endorsement.
The NCS, in response, asserts that auctions of seized goods are never conducted through social media platforms.
The Service urged the public to verify information exclusively through the official NCS website (http://customs.gov.ng) or by contacting the help desk line at +2347037891156.
The NCS also urges individuals to exercise caution and verify any financial commitments related to seized goods or recruitment by visiting Customs formations nationwide and meeting with the Public Relations Officers (PROs).
