The Ag. Chief Conservator of Forests, Mr. Alex Lemarkoko, has welcomed a delegation from the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) led by Kaberia Kamenchu and Chief Operating Officer Tobias Alando.
The meeting aimed at strengthening their collaboration efforts in promoting forest conservation.
Key discussions centered around enhancing seedling production by rehabilitating and expanding existing tree nurseries within the next two months.
Expressing his gratitude to the KAM team, Mr. Lemarkoko emphasized the significance of conservation investments in securing a sustainable future for generations to come.
He also expressed his enthusiasm for KAM and other stakeholders’ commitment to achieving a 30% tree cover by the year 2032.
This collaboration marks a vital step towards preserving and expanding Kenya’s precious forests and ensuring environmental sustainability in the nation.
