The Speaker of the National Assembly, Tulia Ackson, has provided an update on the status of the resolution concerning the partnership between the governments of Tanzania and Dubai regarding ports.
She stated that the resolution is currently under review by Parliamentary committees and will be presented to the House after this review process.
Dr. Ackson denied allegations that the resolution had already been approved by Parliament, explaining that the infrastructure and investment committees held a public hearing on Tuesday and are currently accepting public opinions through postal and email channels.
The resolution is expected to be presented for debate and approval in Parliament on June 10, 2023, following the completion of the committee’s review.

Dr. Ackson assured lawmakers that the Parliament will continue to support the economic growth and development of Tanzanians under the sixth phase government led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
She emphasized the Parliament’s readiness to receive and discuss public opinions aimed at enhancing the implementation of government plans through its committees.
