The Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, has reiterated Ghana’s dedication to sustainable development and enhanced resilience during the National Day Reception of the Kingdom of Denmark.
In his address at the event, held on June 5, 2023, the Minister emphasized the importance of nurturing partnerships and exploring new avenues of cooperation to achieve improved living standards.
Hon. Asenso-Boakye praised the longstanding historical ties between Ghana and Denmark, which have fostered a strong bilateral relationship.
Notable initiatives highlighted include successful cooperation in water supply, wastewater management, and the enhancement of Ghana’s maritime sector.
The event, which celebrated Denmark’s National Day and marked the 174th anniversary of Denmark’s Constitution Day, was attended by government officials, traditional leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and the business community.

Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Tom Nørring, highlighted the Kingdom of Denmark’s partnership with Ghana in various sectors, particularly in strengthening Ghana’s maritime sector.
The Minister commended the mutual understanding, respect, and common goal of progress that underpins the partnership between the two nations.
The celebration showcased the enduring relation between Ghana and Denmark and demonstrated the successful collaboration that has contributed to the growth and development of both countries.
