The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has joined forces with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MoTI) Ghana and the National AfCFTA Coordination Office (NCO) to organize a pioneering market expedition in Nairobi, Kenya from May 23 to 27, 2023.
This collaboration aligns with GEPA’s core objective of facilitating exports and supporting Ghanaian companies in leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

A significant highlight of the initiative will be the official launch of the GEPA-initiated Ghana Trade House in Nairobi on May 23, 2023. Acting as a one-stop-shop outlet, the Ghana Trade House aims to promote Made-in-Ghana products and services in Eastern Africa, utilizing Kenya as a gateway.
The Ghana-Kenya Expo, part of the five-day market expedition, will feature 50 Ghanaian enterprises that have been carefully selected and prepared to showcase high-quality products to the Kenyan market under the AfCFTA-guided trade initiative.
This endeavor follows an earlier media launch in Kenya, where the Ghanaian delegation informed the public about the expo and the opening of the trade house, which is the first of many similar centers planned for the future.
Leading the delegation to Kenya will be the Minister of Trade and Industry, K.T. Hammond, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, CEO of GEPA Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, and other officials from various organizations including the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Notable partners supporting the program include the World Bank, the German Development Agency (GIZ), and the Ghana Export and Import Bank.
