The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced plans to embark on a month-long nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise, an official statement has said.
The exercise, which will start from 20 March to 20 April, according to ECG, will focus on all categories of customers in arrears including state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
A statement issued by ECG on Thursday (16 March), said it will temporarily close its head office, regional and district offices in line with the nationwide exercise.
“Pursuant to this exercise, the head office, regional and district offices of ECG would be temporarily closed during the revenue mobilisation period, except for customer service centres, to enable total participation by top management and staff.
“Customers in arrears should please pay their bills now to avoid disconnection, and payment of reconnection fees,” the ECG statement said.
