Ticket Ghana Ltd. has confirmed ongoing engagements with aviation, tourism, and institutional stakeholders to explore new, collaborative approaches to supporting Ghana’s growing international air travel demand, as global interest in travel to the country continues to rise.
Ghana has recorded sustained growth in inbound air travel in recent years, driven by tourism, expanding business activity, and increased interest from the African diaspora seeking deeper connections to the country’s culture, heritage, and identity. This surge in demand has at times placed pressure on flight availability and affordability, particularly during peak travel seasons.

The engagements are focused on partnership-driven models aimed at improving international access into Ghana, strengthening Accra’s position as a regional aviation gateway, and enhancing travel accessibility in alignment with national tourism and transport objectives.
Discussions are currently underway with operational partners, airports, and industry bodies across Africa, Europe, and North America, as stakeholders assess practical pathways to support demand while improving overall travel efficiency.
Founded in 2009, Ticket Ghana Ltd. is among Ghana’s early digital travel technology pioneers. In 2015, the company launched an online airline fare comparison and booking platform that operated successfully for more than five years, helping transform how travellers in Ghana search, compare, and book international flights. Like much of the global travel industry, the platform was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, offering the company direct insight into the resilience and vulnerabilities of modern air travel ecosystems.
Commenting on the initiative, Basil David Anthony, Chief Executive Officer of Ticket Ghana Ltd., said interest in travel to Ghana continues to grow, particularly from diaspora and international visitors drawn by culture, heritage, and opportunity. He noted that the engagements are focused on practical collaborations that can improve accessibility while addressing affordability pressures during high-demand periods.
Beyond international arrivals, the discussions also recognise Accra’s strategic role as a gateway to key cities and regions across Ghana, underscoring the importance of seamless onward connectivity in enhancing traveller experience, economic impact, and national mobility goals.
