Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, officially launched the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) Academy at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) Lower Kabete Campus in Nairobi.
The new academy aims to strengthen professional capacity in public sector auditing by equipping auditors with specialised skills to enhance oversight and responsible stewardship of public funds. It will focus on advancing technical standards, promoting a preventive audit culture, and embedding accountability as a core principle in public finance management.

Speaking at the event, Koskei described the academy as a key pillar of the government’s broader governance reform agenda. “This initiative speaks to our commitment to responsible service delivery, fiscal discipline, and a results-oriented Public Service that upholds the trust of the Kenyan people,” he said. He added that the academy will help raise auditing standards, support the goal of zero-fault audits, and strengthen institutional safeguards across public entities.
