The Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Port and Terminal Multi-services Limited (PTML) Command, Comptroller Joe Anani, has commended stakeholders for their resilience and cooperation in adapting to the newly deployed Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), popularly known as B’Odogwu.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ engagement on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Comptroller Anani described them as the “heartbeat of Customs modernisation,” noting that their sacrifices and support have sustained trade facilitation at the command.
“I know the sacrifices you have made and the cooperation extended to my predecessor. I want us to continue on that path of understanding and partnership,” he said.
Anani stressed that the B’Odogwu initiative is here to stay, in line with the Comptroller-General of Customs’ (CGC) agenda of deepening stakeholder engagement. He assured that regular meetings will continue to strengthen collaboration.
Looking ahead, the CAC highlighted opportunities from global best practices and evolving trade dynamics, pledging readiness to partner with stakeholders committed to efficiency and productivity. He further promised to maintain an open-door policy and build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor.
